Coaching for Concentration & Confidence
Studio Naga's Coaching program develops positive social and physical skills in a private, supportive, community environment.
Children who need one on one instruction are coached towards:
- Positive Social Skills
- Ability to Follow Directions
- Verbal and Self-Defense Skills
- Body Awareness
Coaching consists of private one-on-one or two-on-one sessions of varying lengths (depending on age and focus) with a qualified adult instructor. Each Coaching commitment begins with an evaluation and goal-setting meeting with a designated coach/instructor and Louise Rafkin, Director of Studio Naga.
Parents will be closely involved with the coaching process to best support their children. At some point in the coaching process, age appropriate students from the Studio Naga community may join to introduce concepts of cooperation, sharing and respect.
When appropriate, Coaching participants fully integrate into our classes, camps and other events.
Coaching is suitable for a range of children, from those labeled "overly exuberant" to the shy or fearful. Coaching may address:
- Concentration and focus (diagnoses of ADHD)
- Impulse control (fighting)
- Fear of failure
- Low self-esteem
- Challenges making friends
- Authority issues
Cost and agreements: Most Coaching commitments range from 3 to 10 sessions and are priced in hourly sessions.
